There are 3 Career Centers in Erie County. They each provide similar services and have very friendly staff that will help you if you have any questions. I’d recommend going to all three if you can. I’ve had times where I learned a great tip at one that the others didn’t know about, and if it wasn’t for someone that went to more than one, people would have missed out on this great tip. Here are the official NYS Department of Labor Centers in Buffalo & WNY. These are great places to get help on all the steps of finding a job such as cover letter and resume assistance, interviewing, job postings, and networking groups. They are also the only places you can go for the unemployment orientations. They can answer basic questions on Unemployment Insurance but for fast answers it can be best to head over to the DOL’s frequently asked questions page or by calling the UI hotline numbers.
When you are in need of Unemployment Insurance (UI) it is very important you apply immediately whether you are unsure if you qualify or not.
